I was 20 when I left. But no one else in my family (we are a large family) has left home and they range from ages 18-32. You leave home when you are ready. Many people leave home when they aren't ready and end up having to come back. It's better to leave when you know you are ready and financially steady.

In the US most kids that are in college live at home until they are done (22-23). It seems best to move out when you can. What I mean by that is I have seen several people move out for a year or so and end up going back home because they couldn't afford it. You need to be ready and understand all th cost of living on your own. Its amazing how many people don't understand all the cost of having your own place. I moved out when I was 23. I was done with school and found a good job and bought a house.

18 for Uni but came back again in late 20's.... hard but workable for a while.

Don't worry about it and don't try to use their house like a hotel 'borrowing' the kitchen and other daftnesses. Stay integrated and part of the team while you're there. Paying a fair rent or equivalent contribution is essential to everyone's self respect.

When the time is right move in with a partner or set up a new home with them.

Mum and Dad will be supportive as long as you don't sponge off them or make out you're 'pathetic'.

By this age, 20 years old, if you still want or need to be at your parents home, then the respectable thing to do is at least pay your share of the rent. By now, you should be working and having money in the bank. Are you in college or a university? You should be cause that's going to help you in your future, that is, if you want a future you can afford. Just don't freeload off your parents, trust me, they need your help. Also, you can do chores and help around the house while you are living there. I'm sure they will appreciate that very much!

I'm 17 and I'm planning to live with my parents til I feel like I'm responsible enough to get my own house. Plus, I can look after my parents at the same time too so it isn't completely a bad thing.

anybody that's on your place wether or no longer it is your new child or a chum ought to comprehend your policies. i might positioned some policies up they ought to shop on with. alongside with a perfect time they had to be abode. in the event that they weren't abode via that element i might enable them to correctly known they might ought to stay some the place else that night and lock the doorways at a definite time. No music or television loud adequate to dirupt others and if thye disobey i might take television and radio away. With them nevertheless being on your place i might nevertheless punish them an identical way as while they have been little ones, yet you are able to no longer tell them have been to bypass, yet you are able to tell them while to be back For the single that mentioned you are able to no longer punish some one over 18 you're incorrect. in case you reside in some one's abode you should shop on with the policies and be punished in case you do no longer. There are policies in existence one and all has to maintain on with even adults
