thats a hard situation....and i for one am proud you are so involved in her life.

i am surprised (and shocked) they allowed a child to be separated from her siblings.... ask the court for a court ordered evaluation as to the effects/what would be best for the child by a child psych.... to help determine custody.

as for the support, here are some links. child support is based upon both parents incomes, and if one parent isnt working, the court calculates an income for them at min wage.

Yes, he can, and should, receive child support from you. Each parent has a responsibility to support their children. If you show zero income then the court will base child support on ‘imputed’ income which is the amount of money that you could reasonably earn if you did work. And ‘reasonably earn’ does NOT necessarily equal minimum wage. It depends on your skills, work experience, education, etc.

Bottom line…if you don’t have money to pay it, then get a job.

I realize you have other children and child care expense is probably an issue, so you may end up having to work different hours than Boyfriend so you two can share child care responsibilities (are the other children his kids?). It won’t be pleasant I’m sure, but parents do what they have to do to provide for their children. Unless of course, Boyfriend is willing to pay child support for you (and it’s not his responsibility).

first of all move to where she is--that looks better than living with your B.F.--so its her or him-or marry him and move back, little girl needs her mother, i hope her dad is a moral man,
