And do not answer this question by saying drugs are bad blah blah blah. The only thing I will ever mess with is weed. I don't even like alcohol. I'm not going to go on about how weed is really not all that bad for you because there's so much evidence behind this. Believe what you want.
Anyway, I smoke about once a week maybe twice a week. Usually it's with friends and we always have a great time. I am a senior in high school about to turn 18. I have a steady job and have priorities. I don't let getting high revolve around my life. The problem with this is that my mom is extremely against weed. She's one of those kind of people that's been brain washed by the government to believe that weed is a terrible drug that ruins life's. If she caught me doing it or found the weed I hid in my room, I feel like she will never trust me again. So I'm thinking of coming out and telling her that I smoke weed. I think this may be a good idea because that will show her that I am comfortable enough to tell her. I have a pretty good relationship with my mom but I don't know how she'd react. I don't get why it's a big deal if I do it sometimes when I'm a good kid that won't lose motivation for things. I don't get good grades but I never have before. Weed has no effect on my grades that's all me. Do you think I should come clean and tell my mom or not say anything and risk getting caught somehow?

Tell her you're thinking about smoking weed first and want to know what she thinks. Then show the real evidence of what pot does, and don't listen to Jonathan, even cheeseburgers are bad. Everythings moderation, if I smoked i would tell my Mom, she would understand as long as i did it carefully. Just prepare her, then tell her, brainwashing runs deep and probabky stems from her parents

Contrary to popular belief and what other here are going to tell you, marijuana is bad for you. At the very very very very least its NOT good for you. Sure it wont kill you or addict you but smoke inhalation longterm brain damage infetrility etc are assosciated with it and i know mannnnny people who got involved with it and stopped carring about anythign except when they could light up again.( not saying thats you )

You need to ask yourself "am I ready to make a life change kick my vices get good grades get a job go to college and becoem sucessful?, with all the hardwork and lack of fun that requires?"

IF you are then i would tell my mom and have her support and help you get your life back on track.

If your not willing to do those thing then quite frankly your not going to improve the situation by telling her.

For what its worth i hope you get clean turn your life around go to college or a trade school and make something out of your life. There is a strong coorelation between canabis use and failing out of school and winding up at macdonalds

Have you noticed Willie Nelson lately? He's ever so slowly reacting as a guy developing Alzheimer's. Could be age, could be weed. But Willie can afford the best stuff. As for you, well you'd better tell mom before your neurons start to misfire.
