Teens! what would your parents do if you got an E on your report card?

Okay, im in high school 9th grade and i just found out i was getting an E in history on my report card. This is going to be my first E. i don't know what to do. Im scared of what my moms gonna say. But my other grades are 2 A's, 1 B and 2 C's. i was just wondering what YOUR parents would say.

Was it a hard class? Because if it was a hard class then you can actually justify getting an "F." However, if it was just an easy class that you decided to blow off. I don't think that is going to be good. All I know is that if I failed a class I'd get grounded. Actually all of my grades have to be A's or I get pressured by my Dad saying I suck at life. But if it is your first F, just show the report card to her. Tell her the truth, and whatever happens happens. It's life expect the unexpected, you know? Just tell her you promise you will be better, and it won't happen ever again.

As a parent of three teens, I try to be calm and find out why. For instance, if you made zeros for not doing work I would be angry. If you were struggling in the class but doing the work and trying your best, we would work together and figure out how to bring the grade up.



Everyone makes mistakes and sometimes, receives a bad grade. You will have to fess up eventually, better to go ahead and let her know. If you have not received the report card, go ahead and discuss it with her. She will appreciate your coming forward. We Moms like to know that you will come to us regardless. It means we can trust you and have good communication.

Yeah. i'm getting grounded for some thing below an "A-". My father and mother placed a "first position coverage" on each thing. Our family individuals motto is "second position is the first loser". It pays off plenty nonetheless. I actually have maximum of my credit accomplished already and that i in hardship-free words favor to take some extra instructions senior 12 months and if I do nicely lower back in music next 12 months i visit have an comprehensive scholarship to a school that i really prefer to attend. My college grading device has similarities except, we get an "F" somewhat than an "E" My father and mother grading device, A: good. it truly is what you're think to get. If you are scare to show off then yes you are right I would feel the same way, but If you are a good student and never had an E before that will spark to the parent about it and definitely they will try to find out the reason.But you better come up with a good reason for this E. Good luck

I'm assuming an E is like a fail? At my school we have NC, for No Credit. I'm in 10th grade and I know my parents would flip if I failed a class. But that's because I get almost all A's and I'm in Advanced Placement classes. But it seems like you have a pretty good report card other than that, so that kinda softens the blow. I would be ready for a lot of s*** from the parentals. Good Luck.

you have to show her . but its not as much what she thinks and is angry at you.. its your future and you just screwed around with it. So you need to show her but make sure you fully understand what this means in your life and that it is one thing to look at a failing grade on a report card and be disapointed but another to have it.

show your mom the grade, knowing it is your future and that you just made a major dent in it. make sure she knows you know this and that you realize the severity of the situation,but also this is a learning experience make sure she knows you will do better next time so this won't happen again. and then last step make sure it doesnt happen again.

i would tell my parents that all my friends got the same grade and the teacher is bad. my parents would believe me . and its a F in america. stay calm and tell your mom that i try my best but the teacher doesn't like me. First make up a fake story about a teacher hitting a student for no reason. this did happen in my school. the teacher was crazy. then she'll believe you that the teacher doesn't like you or something. it works with me.

I never heard of getting E's but I'm gonna guess it's like an F? Well since it's your first time, I'm sure your parents won't be that mad because they know you just slipped up. But get back on the road kid. If my parents saw that they would be disappointed but try to help me in what I don't get.

Honestly though, I'm in 11th grade, and i'm starting to apply for colleges and stuff. It's not worth it, you're lucky you still have time to make it up, but its just not worth it. You will regret it. All of my "popular" friends who think its cool to blow off school even say they regret it. and its sad cause they are trying to make up for all the Ds and Cs on report cards, but its too late.

my parents would FLIP but the only reason you're getting an "E" is probably because you're not trying hard enough in class. that's probably why you're getting the C's as well. so tell her that you're going to try harder next time, and actually STUDY for your tests and get extra help from your teachers in the classes you're doing bad in.

don't hide this from yours. ask her to help with a tutor. then spend half your allowance or money from a little job on it - it will be very well spent



incidentally if your other marks are As and Bs with a couple of Cs you have to figure out what turns you off about history and get over it
