I hate my mom's boyfriend?

My mom and dad have been separated for a year. They're already dating someone new. Well, i dont know why, but I absolutely HATE my mom's boyfriend... he didn't do anything wrong, i just can't stand the guy. The only thing that bothered me about him, was i overheard them ...errr.. making love... because i couldn't sleep that night...

SOOO any ideas on why i hate him? :/

OMG its like you described my life, I was 11 when my parents split up, my mom started dating this guy, A MONTH after my dad, i was furious and blamed and hated him. That was ten years ago. A few months ago,i moved back in with my mom and her bf and once I started spending time with him, i got to know a really great person, I get along better with him than my mom, hes always there for me and we've gotten really close.

All that just to say, you dislike him because you dont know him well, try to focus on the things you like about him, if he treats you're mom right then there's not much reason to hate him. Make an effort to get to know him better and you'll see just how great it is to have 2 dads :D

yeah the first answer is correct , its just coz u can't see ur mom with any one else.

u do not want him to take the place or ur dad in the house and in ur life .

well u need to overcome this feeling .

and forget about that night , coz many more like that one will come again . so better forget it and ignore the future one coming .

This is completely normal and you feel this way because you aren't used to the fact that your parents aren't together anymore. Its hard for you to see a change this big when you hae been used to something for so long. Try to give him a chance and consider your mothers happiness. I know it stinks tho :( I hope things get better for you.

Maybe because youd rather see your mom with your father, than another man. And afraid he'll try to take your dads place?
