Question:
Don't you hate it when your parents nag about your make-up?
Bahaha:)

I started to wear eyeliner last year because I thought it made me look pretty. But then whenever my mom or dad sees me wearing it, they always nag at me and tell me that I look so much better without my eyes all "gunked up". My mom tells me that all my relatives hate the fact that I wear make-up because it makes me look "too grown-up." And I hardly wear any too. Am I the only one who's parents are like that?

I'm almost 29, but when I was a teenager my mom was concerned that I applied my eye make-up too heavily. I did, actually. My only advice to you is that less is often more. Accentuate your features and make sure that you notice your eyes before you notice you make-up. There's a big difference between daytime and evening make-up. Thin lines are usually better for daytime, and the softer the better. I'm sure you're very pretty. :)

My parents were just like that, they were awful, so I can completely understand. I started wearing makeup when I was 14, and my parents hated it! The eyeliner, even more so! Don't feel bad, they just want you to stay their little girl. I now have 3 kids, and little girls, mine are too little to wear make up yet, except for like the other day they did clown faces with my make up, nice! I'm not sure how I will feel when they start to wear make up. I know my dad was the one I fought with constantly, how many times was I sent back up to my room to remove make up, constant! It's hard, so many girls at school were able to wear make up. I used to sneak mine, probably not the best idea, put it on when I went out, took it off when I came home. Things will work out, they will get used to it, so try not to stress, it's just hard to accept that their little girl isn't so little anymore....Good Luck...best wishes...Isabella!

To the dumb a** -blondewhiteguy1982-: Wearing make up in NO way makes you easy.

I wont say all, but i know my parents, as well as some of my friends parents were like that when we first started wearing makeup. But honestly, thats how parents are about most things when their child is changing. Parents are protective and i'm sure if they had it their way you'd be an innocent cute child the rest of your life. You growing up and getting older, as well as changing your style, and amount of make up is just something you guys will have to work out together. Its just a stage of life.

Not all parents are like that! It seems to me that your parents are concerned with the fact that their little girl is growing up and your style is changing. Parents are overprotective of their children and will do whatever they can to make sure that their children are safe and cared for. Just because you're wearing make-up doesn't make you look grown-up and you want attention from men! They will look-no matter what! Besides, make-up is supposed to enhance your beauty, not hiding it and making yourself look silly! It's part of life and your parents need to accept that.

They want you to LOOK like a NICE girl.

I would change the shade of it... from black to brown and then smudge it.. which will give a softer look

The eyeliner makes you look "easy". If you are easy, continue to wear the makeup. If not, stop.
