Is it weird for me to sleep in the same bed as my brother?

I'm a sixteen year old girl and my brother is eighteen.
I was raped by a stranger when I was twelve, and ever since that my brother became extremely protective of me. We became a lot closer though, and I realized I trusted him more than anyone else. We're like best friends now.
When I'm crying or having nightmares of the rape, I'll get into the same bed as him and he'll comfort me while we cuddle. Then we'll fall asleep in the same bed.
My friend found out and said he thought it was really weird for siblings to do, even though neither of us mean for it to seem sexual or anything gross.
What's your opinion on this? Is it okay for me to cuddle with my brother in bed when I'm upset, or is it too weird?

Well there is a good reason for it, and people are very judgemental so don't worry about what they say. If your comfortable with it and happy then go ahead but just as long as you don't do anything sexually then that's fine, I don't think your brother would do that seeing you have been raped before.

Its a bit weird but is for your own good everyone needs someone to comfort them when there in problems they need someone to reasure the that everything is okay even when its not so just thank your brother for being there for you its weird but for a good purpose

in my family it would be weird. But in your situation it's just your brother comforting you and protecting you. That's is 100% ok to me.
