If you ever do something wrong like get a C on a test they never stop talking about how others are smarter and your dumber. And they keep reminding you again and again. You have little freedom to hand out with friends. Why are parents SO annoying???

Parents are annoying for many reasons. For one thing, they were raised in a different time and have old fashioned ideas that don't always mesh well with what the current generation believes. Second, you spend a lot of time with them. Anyone, after a certain amount of time, becomes unbearably annoying, and people need space from one another. Third, they have control over you. Especially if you're an independent person, this is extremely irritating. They want to dictate how you live your life, what grades you get, what you do with your time, etc. Finally, parents want you to live up to all they've ever hoped for. You are their lives' work, and if you fail, they feel like they are failing. So, they push you to succeed until you want to slap them.
Good luck with annoying parents! My mother is bugging me to get off the computer and do my homework right now...

It's there job. They're job is to protect you. My parents are annoying also but I take their annoying ideas and it helps me out. Just calm down and try to deal with it.

They love and care about you and want you do to well on things because they care about you. When they tell you that others are smarter, or dumber, they are not doing this to cut on you, they are doing this so you try harder. They really do love you and just so you know....my parents do the SAME thing!

It's called protective. I know its annoying but its their job. They just want to see you do well.
Try sitting down and talking to them. You sound like you need some positive encouragement, not screaming at you about how you did wrong. e_o

Because it's their job. They're trying to get you to do what's best for you. My parents are REALLY annoying because they're always like i'm doing this for you not for me. And i'm like why do you care it's my life? but still, deep down I know they're trying to protect me.
