Is there something wierd about people who work with dead bodies?

Question

Do you think there is something weird about people who work with dead bodies. Such as in funeral homes, crematories, etc?

I've had a whole bunch of family members pass away, and so I've been around quite a few funeral home employees.

They just seem to have a strange empty look to them. Almost as if they don't have a soul. I mean they are nice people, but seem like they are void of something. Its got to be weird doing that kind of work. Maybe its just my imagination due to the emotions of the situation. What do you guys think?

I admire them for doing their jobs, I really do. Some people wants to work in that business because they may have a story of their own. You never know until you get to know them for you to understand

why they want to work there.



My friend wants to work there mainly because she kept loosing people to deaths and understand how expensive it is to organise such things as buriels.

no.. but think about it how would u feel if u worked with dead bodies. you really have to be a strong person to work with the dead. I'm sure its been hard or them to get use to but its a job and these ppl are just like everyone else.. maybe a little sadder from having to deal with death all day

I mean if they enjoy it, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be there if they didn't like working with deceased people. Yea, it's a sad job but you get to meet the families and hear the stories.

i suppose they become immune to it,its all part of the job, i lost my baby daughter & the guy from the funeral home was great treated my daughter with great respect , they have a tough job credit were credits due.
